An elegant English traveler came to Tilcajete, Oaxaca, to be filled with life, color and fantasy. San Martin Tilcajete is a town well known for its reinterpretation of Mexican folk art, through its copal wood carving work, decorated with multicolored designs.

Jacobo and María Ángeles founded their workshop in this place, with the desire to rescue the ancestral practice of giving life to the tonas and nahuales, always with the intention of teaching, sharing and contributing to the community.

Today, Hotel Xcaret Arte is pleased to present this magnificent piece embellished by the creativity and delicate handwork of masters Jacobo and Maria.
This classic 1945 Rolls Royce, which is part of a line of work in which various automobiles have been intervened in order to translate the workshop’s cosmovision into itinerant substrates, different from the recognized wooden figures.
