Sports and arts have a strong relationship since they are practices that require a deep immersion in these activities. Not from the idea of being a prodigy in the discipline, but in the development of a skill and experience.
To live sports, crafts or arts means to commit oneself physically and mentally. These activities promote the recreation of individuals, stimulate us internally and collectively, generating identity and culture. They help us grow.<\/p>\n

Art & Futbol is a collaboration that seeks to bring together the senses of art, craftsmanship and sport, to reconnect us with what we once dreamed of. A close
encounter between two worlds that we understand similar, because of the dedication and the heart that is put in the exercise of both practices: sport and craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

This collaboration consisted in the design of the official jerseys of 6
Mexican soccer league teams: Leon, Atlas, Queretaro, Santos, Pachuca and Xolos. The soccer players will wear a jersey designed by the creativity and cosmovision of artisans, who reinterpret the symbolic values of the identity of each of the teams and combine them with the Zapotec symbolism that characterizes the artisan practice of the
the Jacobo and Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngeles workshop.<\/p>\n

In the same way, based on these designs, a series of six pieces carved in copal wood of each of the official mascots of the teams were created, which are related to our symbology, since we based ourselves on the flora and fauna of our region in the visual and compositional development of our pieces.<\/p>\n

We firmly believe that every action that is carried out for the benefit of sports, art or crafts, is a door of opportunity for the realization of dreams that otherwise would not take place. We are committed to the development of our people, region and country, so this is not our first collaboration with sports, nor will it be the last.<\/p>\n

We exhibit the results of this collaboration with great enthusiasm and pride, whose effort is directed to the promotion of those practices that for many may be a longing, in order to, someday, to see them become a reality.<\/p>\n
